Ny Jets Plan To Exercise Option On Mo Wilkerson

The Jets plan on exercising a fifth-year option on Wilkersons contract before the May 3 deadline in the new collective bargaining agreement, the source said. Although the organization has yet to reviews of the Max Workouts convey concrete plans to Wilkerson, the team source said that it has been made abundantly clear that the Jets will prioritize free agency and the draft over the next two months. Wilkerson, who hasnt missed a game in his three-year career, and the rest of the first-round picks in the 2011 draft class signed four-year deals with a fifth-year team option as part of the new CBA. The source left open the possibility of revisiting contract extension talks with Wilkerson in the summer but admitted that its unlikely a new long-term pact will be struck this offseason unless the player accepts a team-friendly deal. Wilkerson unwittingly hurt his negotiating leverage with public remarks last month that he wont hold out if he doesnt get a long-term deal, the team source said. Wilkerson would have incurred hefty daily fines if he held out, but thats a players only true means of leverage under the current CBA structure.
News source: http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/football/jets/source-jets-run-option-wilkerson-article-1.1713734

Star wide receiver for Boston College gives up chance at playing in the NFL to become a Navy SEAL Though Reebok has long partnered with and endorsed professional athletes in basketball, baseball, football, soccer, tennis, and hockey, it has repositioned itself in recent years. It gave up its NFL sponsorship deal in 2012. It has also bowed out on deals in favor of parent company, Adidas. New look: Reebok's new Delta shoes will focus on reaching the fitness market Health conscious: 'What we haven't been able to do is inspire enough people to move,' said Reebok Chief Marketing Officer Matt O'Toole As professional connections dwindled, Reebok turned to making itself known as a brand for Crossfit, yoga, dance, and aerobics. 'The Reebok Delta has three distinct parts each representing the changes -- physical, mental and social -- that occur when people push themselves beyond their perceived limits and embrace an active and challenging life,' Reebok said in a press release.
Source: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2570933/Reebok-unveils-new-delta-logo-sportswear-company-moves-professional-athletes-fitness-buffs.html

The company is hoping its unique approach to wearable fitness trackers will set it apart from competitors. "We have the same mission: to make people fitter and healthier, but from a different approach that gives you a wearable coach that can coach you while you're moving and working out," said Meng Li, one of Moov's three cofounders in an interview with Mashable. Image: Moov Backed by extensive biomechanics and sport science research from Harvard University and University of Cape Town, it relies on sophisticated 3D sensors and game mechanics to give users real-time feedback to make workouts better, safer and more efficient. For example, while you're running, Moov may tell you to swing your arms faster to improve your cadence, or to land on your feet more lightly to avoid the risk of knee injury. At launch, Moov will ship with supported activities running, swimming, cycling, cardio boxing and weight training but the company plans to open up its platform for developers once it begins receiving user-generated exercise data.
Source: http://mashable.com/2014/02/27/moov-fitness-tracker/

Levine realized he couldn't ask Americans to wear complex panties to measure their movement. His studies showed that wrapping a sensor around the spine would also provide good data. But that too was a tough sell, he said. So he and his team created a chip that inserted into the heel of a shoe and then later, a motion-tracking bracelet. The idea of a simple, stylish tracker has caught on. great site
Source: http://abcnews.go.com/Health/fitness-trackers-stylish-accuracy-work-experts/story?id=22681227

Malzahn Encouraged By Winter Workouts

The first three days involve registration, meetings, medical examinations and various measurements. It is not until Day 4 of each session that we get to see the on-field workouts (except special teams players, who are Day 3 of their visit). The on-field workouts include the well known 40-yard dash, the 3-cone drill, the broad jump, the vertical jump, the bench press and the shuttle run. Then, there are the individual skill workouts .
Source: http://www.ninersnation.com/2014/2/19/5423204/2014-nfl-combine-complete-list-invited-players-workouts-drills-explained

Yankees' Masahiro Tanaka completes second day of spring training workouts

It may also help strengthen the core and improve flexibility, depending on the moves chosen by a particular instructor. Why Men Should Try It: Guys who want to bulk up won't exactly find what they're looking for, but "if you're looking for a little extra cardio, I say go for it!" says Greenfield. "I think it's a nice way to spice up your routine, if you're confident and ready to have fun -- or a good dancer because you've honed your moves at the club!" It could even help with mobility and coordination. But even if it's just a party, it's better than nothing.
Source: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/02/19/men-try-workouts-for-women_n_4784393.html

Its always good. The very first day you are looking for leaders and you have got the seniors from last year moving on so the dynamics are a little different, he noted. Its always good for me just to kind of sit back and watch and see the new leaders emerge and go through the trials that help you later on once the season gets here. In his first season as head coach of the Tigers, Malzahns squad was the surprise team of the SEC with its 12-2 record. It was real good to be around the players, Malzahn said. There was a lot of excitement.
Source: http://auburn.scout.com/2/1376620.html

But when you design them shorter with very few breaks in betweenyoure moving multiple body parts over the course of one movement, the heart rate is higher, and it just becomes more efficient. Furthermore, some studies suggest that these periods of high intensity exercise produce a unique metabolic response in the body, causing it to continue to burn fat for up to 24 to 48 hours post-workout. However, one fitness expert noted that its important to keep these HIIT workouts short, because after a certain period of time, people can wind up damaging their body rather than strengthening it. Visual Workout: Five-minute Plank To Abs Of Steel

We fatigue more easily. Training the abdominal muscle group is no easy task. The muscles do not all respond to training at the same rate, and there is a core group of abdominals running beneath the external ones with muscle fibers pointing the opposite way. This makes for a core picture that no single exercise can adequately address, which helps explain why strong abs are hard to attain, which makes them an aim to strive for. The Five-Minute Plank is a paradox of sorts. It uses relative inactivity lean muscular body to challenge the abdominal muscles and strengthen them.
Full story: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/neila-rey/plank-exercise_b_4653291.html
